SIMPL Windows
SIMPL Windows provides the link
between Crestron system hardware, panels and the whole world of equipment to be
controlled. SIMPL Windows is Crestron’s exclusive Windows-based software for control
system programming. Completely integrated and compatible with all Crestron system
hardware, SIMPL Windows is an entirely new generation of control system programming.
It’s about integration. Not
only is SIMPL Windows integrated with all Crestron control system hardware, the program
itself has many dynamic integrated features that programmers have only dreamed about,
until now! SIMPL Windows lets programmers link directly with our integrated touchpanel
design software, VisionTools for Windows, automatically generating appropriate signal
names.
Organization is better than ever
before with the use of ”sub-systems,“ making large projects easy to manage.
Users can group, sub-group and organize the system in any way they prefer. Users have, for
the first time, graphical representation of the system being programmed. Icons and/or list
views provide quick access and organization. Devices, functions and symbols are added and
changed with the easy drag-and-drop feature.
Configuration Manager is used to
define Crestron hardware and controlled devices. Once hardware and devices are defined,
the Programming Manager provides a single screen for programming, no bouncing back and
forth.
Symbols and macros are
categorized and kept in libraries for easy access. Signals and symbols are color coded,
making the connection a snap. For example digital signals are blue, analog signals are red
and multi-type signals are black. Symbols are color coded to match the signals they
control. Try to connect a blue signal to a red symbol and SIMPL Windows alerts you that
the two won’t work together.
SIMPL Windows is packed with
features never before offered in control system programming software. Here are a few of
