The
Crestron CP2 Compact Fixed Resource Control Systems
combines Crestron's powerful 2-Series
engine in a compact cost-effective package that
enables advanced control technology to be
integrated into systems where it was previously
not economically feasible.
At
the heart of the Crestron CP2 is the hot new 257
MIPS, 32-bit Motorola Coldfire® Processor.
Coupled with the 36 MB of onboard memory, the CP2
has the power to run the most sophisticated
control applications from videocon-ferencing
systems with robust data communications, to
conference and presentation systems.
Keeping
with the
Crestron CP2 Compact Fixed Resource Control Systems
standard, the Crestron CP2 Compact Fixed Resource Control
System utilizes a
real-time, preemptive multi-tasking/
multi-threaded operating system with a FAT32 file
system that supports long file names for easy file
management. Running true compiled source code,
this robust operating system used throughout the
2-Series control line is designed to han-dle the
most demanding control functions and provide
instantaneous response.
The
CP2 also benefits from Crestron's visual design
development environment, SIMPL™ Windows®, to
quickly create control programs to meet your
specific needs. Through SIMPL Windows, the CP2 can
be programmed in an object-oriented graphical
format or through a pro-cedural C-like programming
language. SIMPL Windows even allows Crestron
control code, macros, and modules from previously
installed systems to be compiled and run on the
CP2 for full backwards compatibility.
With
its blinding speed, massive memory and integrated
control, the Crestron CP2 Compact Fixed Resource Control
System is built from the ground
up for high per-formance and dynamic expansion
capabilities. Designed for 100% backwards
compatibility with Crestron Cresnet network
devices, touchpanels, and wireless remotes, and
reinforced by Crestron's True Blue Customer
Support, the CP2 is part of the complete Crestron
line of advanced solutions for
audio/video/environmental control.

Allows
a large number of Cresnet devices to be
controlled by a single CP2 while
maintaining a high level of reliability
and performance. Connecting to the control
processor via a high-speed RS-232 (using
built-in COM ports 1-3) or Ethernet link,
it effectively multiplies Cresnet
bandwidth by implementing eight
simultaneous Cresnet networks, each
operating at full speed. Multiple units
can be used at the same time for even
larger or faster systems. |
