The Crestron C2N-DAP8RC is a
high-performance 7.1 surround sound processor and
audio/video switcher that provides automatic
selection of decoding formats, 6 bands of
graphic/parametric EQ, and local device control.
An ideal audio/video processing solution for
digital boardrooms, conference rooms and
auditoriums, the C2N-DAP8RC offers seamless
Cresnet integration of all surround sound and
audio/video switching features.
Digital Signal
Processing
The Crestron C2M DAP8RC Digital Home Theater Surround Sound Audio Video Switcher
features the powerful Analog
Devices SHARC® 32-bit floating point DSP, for
superior decoding of surround sound content.
Decoding modes include Dolby Digital EX and DTS
ES, as well as matrix modes such as Dolby Prologic
II and DTS Neo6 that expand mono and stereo
sources up to 7.1 channels. High-precision A/D
converters provide 24-bit 96kHz resolution for
full dynamic range and maximum sampling bandwidth,
while built-in digital crossover and programmable
delays ensure that the audio is precisely tailored
to the listening environment. The Crestron C2M DAP8RC
detects the type of encoded signal and
automatically recognizes what format to process,
so users don't have to worry about separate
settings if the source is DTS, Dolby Digital or
analog.
Professional EQ -
Crestron C2M DAP8RC Digital Home Theater Surround Sound Audio Video Switcher
The Crestron C2M DAP8RC provides 6 bands of
graphic/parametric equalization per surround sound
channel, with selectable filters for dialing in or
out a certain range of frequencies, gain controls
to change the cut or boost of individual
frequencies, and adjustable bandwidth for clean
transitions between filter types. Crestron makes
it easy to customize the audio environment with
Digital Audio Tools™ software. Drag sliders and
adjust waveforms to set EQ filters, gains, speaker
configurations and delays. Select real time mode
to hear the sound from each speaker as it is
adjusted, or automatically create a configuration
file ready to be uploaded to the C2N-DAP8RC.
Analog Audio Control
The onboard 6x3 analog audio crosspoint switches
audio from any analog stereo source to any of the
three stereo outputs. For maximum flexibility, one
stereo output provides volume, tone control and
digital processing, while the other two outputs
are unprocessed to maintain the purity of
high-quality analog sources such as phono, tape,
or the analog outputs of external CD sources.
Video and Room Control
Crestron C2M DAP8RC Digital Home Theater Surround Sound Audio Video Switcher
The onboard 16x16 highbandwidth video crosspoint
receives any combination of composite, S-video,
component video and digital audio from CAT5 or
local sources and distributes the video to any of
the 16 local outputs. The video inputs include
video signal detectors. Additional I/O room
control options include 4 IR ports; 1 COM port; 1
IR input designed to work with the CNXRMIRD IR
detector and any universal RC-5 IR remote; and 1
SENS input for detecting contact closure devices.
Seamless Integration
The Crestron C2M DAP8RC has been designed for seamless
integration with Crestron control systems,
amplifiers, network control modules, and
touchpanels. With no front panel buttons or knobs
for users to tamper with, programmers can design
custom touchscreen control interfaces that provide
the desired level of control and real-time
feedback.
