SoftBoard is an interactive electronic whiteboard — whatever is written or drawn on the SoftBoard is recorded and displayed in real-time and in color on any Microsoft Windows-based PC or Macintosh. You can save your entire work session to a computer file. Retrieve it later. E-mail a copy to remote members anywhere in the world. Cut and paste sketches and notes as graphics into other applications. Print the results using your own printer. Share results over networks including the Internet. And more. Our technology tracks the color markers as they move on the surface of the SoftBoard. Infrared lasers continuously scan just above the active writing area. Our dry-erase markers are fitted with patented reflective and bar-coded sleeves. When the pen tip intersects the SoftBoard's laser beams, the on-board processor determines the marker's color and position and tracks its movement. The processor then transfers this data to our companion software on your PC which displays it on your monitor. This software also enables real-time remote sharing of your data.
